Casa Leão is a lovely 4 bedroom villa with lots of character and charm, nestled in large mature gardens, fully fenced and gated with private parking for up to three cars. The main living area is on the ground floor with just the master bedroom suite on the first floor. It is therefore suitable for all ages.
Upon entering the front door, to the right, there are three bedrooms. The blue bedroom has twin beds with a large wardrobe. This bedroom, almost identical to the grey twin bedroom, shares a full bathroom with a jacuzzi bath/ shower twin washbasins, a toilet and bidet. Further along, there is the larger green bedroom with twin beds, ample wardrobe space and large patio doors leading out to the pool area. A full ensuite bathroom completes this room with twin basins, jacuzzi bath/shower, and toilet.
To the left of the main entrance door is a fully equipped kitchen containing all the equipment that one would expect in a property of this calibre. An oven, induction electric hobs, a separate steam oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. Also a kettle, toaster, expresso coffee machine and filter coffee maker. A small pantry with shelves off the kitchen also houses the iron and board. An outside atrium, adorned with beautifully hand painted decorative tiles, opens up to a garage area with another fridge, washing machine and a tumble dryer.
Off the main corridor, one enters the bright open plan lounge and dining area, with large picture windows looking out. Plenty of sofas and armchairs adorn the lounge area. There is also a log burning stove for the Winter months, a large wall mounted flat screen tv with UK and Sky channels and a Playstation. A large stone dining table compliments this lovely room with comfortable seating for all. For those that sadly have to work a little when on holiday, there is a separate conservatory office area with a desk and air conditioning, looking out over the garden and pool area just off the dining room area.
On the first floor we have a large master bedroom suite with a king sized bed, a sofa bed (for the 9th guest) and a flat screen tv. Large windows overlook the pool deck to the front and, to the right, there is a wonderful private terrace complete with table and chairs, perfect for enjoying the stunning ocean views. There is an ensuite shower room, with a shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet.
Straight in front of the kitchen, a patio door leads out to the sheltered alfresco dining terrace nestled amongst colourful bougainvillea with sun blinds to shade guests from the hot sun, and a close by barbecue. From the table guests can look out to the pool deck and garden beyond. An absolute haven of tranquility, perfect for a relaxing family meals.
The property has air conditioning in all bedrooms, the lounge and dining area and in the office. Internet is by wi-fi.
On the outside of the property there is a huge pool terrace with eight sun loungers. The pool is approximately 10m x 5m with a stainless steel handrail along the length and on the steps (ideal for the infirm or to teach novice swimmers) with an electric pool cover. This can be heated, if required, at an extra charge of £180.00 per week. This is serviced with an outside shower room, which leads through to the exercise room.
A large jacuzzi is nestled at the end of the pool deck. An ideal spot to relax and chill at the end of the day. Slightly further away from the main terrace, in front of the office, is an outside lounge area, great for a drink before dinner, or simply to read a book or magazine.
To keep everyone entertained, the lawned area is great for a bit of football, a table tennis table, and a boule or pétanque area. There are also board games and for the little ones there is a shed/ playroom with toys and a small football table. There are also a number of bikes, locks and helmets available for guest use.
10 minutes drive from Golf or beaches, 15 minutes drive from water park, 5 minute drive into Carvoeiro town and various excellent supermarkets, and 20 minutes to Zoomarine. There is also a good selection of restaurants close by and even one within easy walking distance, as well as leisurely cliff top walks from the villa. In essence, Casa Leão is a wonderful base for exploring all the delights that the Algarve has to offer.
